How Does Firefly Work?
Photon, or near-infrared light therapy works at the cellular level in a phenomenon known as Photobiomodulation.
Firefly uses frequency and a powerful wave of lights (blue, red, near infrared) to penetrate the skin, tissue and surrounding nerves to treat soft tissue injuries, reduce pain, promote wound healing and provide relief for acute and chronic conditions.
- Blue light affects the skin surface, accelerates surface healing, stimulates lymph fluid/drainage, shortens healing time
- Red light penetrates tissue up to 1 cm ~ 3/8 inch and is absorbed by the blood, accelerates cellular metabolism
- Near-Infrared penetrates tissue up to 20 cm ~8 inches, increases lymph flow and delivery of oxygen into the mitochondria, reduces inflammation, stimulates stem cells
- Firefly utilized multiple wavelengths of blue (12 each), red (5 each) and near-infrared (8 each) which can be used in any combination
- The power of each wand is 37,710 mW which is at or above any Class IV Laser
What is F-Scan?
The F-Scan is a bio resonance device, made in Switzerland, that is used to identify pathogens/parasites in the body. The F-Scan is designed to detect the frequency at which those pathogens resonate. The procedure is quick and non-invasive, and a printout of the scan is given to the client. Frequency information from the scan can then be used to program the Function Generator which inputs frequency information to the Firefly Multi-Spectrum Light Therapy device. This ensures a customizable therapy treatment tailored to the client’s specific health ailments.
Firefly combined with an F-Scan can identify and potentially treat pathogens/parasites in people suffering from gut issues and related auto-immune disorders.
What are the advantages compared to other therapies?
- Faster healing: Accelerates cell development in damaged tissue as well as stimulating bone and cartilage regeneration
- Anti-inflammatory action: Reduces swelling and accelerates healing times of soft tissue injuries
- Increased vascular activity: Results in an increase of microcirculation of lymphatic system and small blood vessels in injured tissue
- Increased production of nitric oxide: Results in relaxed blood vessels and improved blood circulation
- Stimulates nerve function: Accelerates the regeneration of damaged nerves, spurs mitochondrial resuscitation in brain disorders
- Fast: Typical treatment is between 10 – 20 minutes
- Nonpharmalogical: No hidden side effects
- Safe: Emits pure, non-ionizing light
- Non-invasive: Painless without penetration of the skin

What to expect
The first initial light therapy appointment is about an hour, it includes going over the health history and establishing a treatment protocol plan. The F-Scan can be used to determine the specific gut issues. All light therapy sessions after the initial first appointment can run from 10-30 minutes.
The basic outline for individual treatment sessions for success includes doing the initial appointment and then 3-5 firefly light therapy sessions to follow within a couple week time frame. After this suggested direction of treatment most will have sessions 1-2 times per month or a handful of times per year depending on the condition. It is always individualized and optional.

- A minimum of 8oz of mineral water is REQUIRED for your session to be successful
- Add a small pinch of Celtic or Himalayan Salt to your water to allow your body to hydrate properly prior to each treatment
- Avoid applying any lotion/oil products on your body parts to be treated with Firefly

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during a typical treatment session?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
The patient is interviewed, and, based on their complaint, treated with Firefly multi-spectrum light therapy for 5-20 minutes in the appropriate areas. Moderate pain relief is often achieved after only one treatment; however a series of treatments is often prescribed to limit recurrence of pain.
What types of payment methods do you accept?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
We accept Cash or Checks only. Not covered by insurance.
Are the treatments uncomfortable or painful?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Unlike other modalities, no sticky pads or cold gels are required. Most patients feel a pleasant warming sensation over the treatment area.
Are there any contraindications?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
As with any therapy, it is not applied over cancer, infection, a pregnant uterus, or the eyes. Patients with these conditions CAN be treated with Photon Therapy at other locations in their body.
Is there any radiation danger or potential to be burned or shocked?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Photon Therapy does not emit any x-ray (ionizing) radiation. It only emits pure light. Unlike a laser’s focused light, light emitted by this therapy diffuses and reduces the risk of burn.
Is photon therapy safe for children and senior citizens?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes. Because the treatment is so comfortable, children and seniors welcome its beneficial effects. There are also no worries about applying therapy over many types of implanted medical devices.
Who may administer photon therapy?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Only trained, licensed health care professionals should provide therapy. It is required that proper chart notes, treatment plan and protocol are followed.
Can photon therapy be combined with other therapies?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes. Photon therapy works well alone or with other therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy and many more.
How many treatments are needed?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
This varies based on many factors, including chronicity of disease, strength of immune system, frequency of treatments, and much more. A series of 3-5 treatments is usually administered to evaluate effectiveness and determine the appropriate number of additional sessions.
Are there any adverse affects?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Although rare, the most common adverse effects of Firefly therapy are:
- Temporary increase in pain during Firefly application
- Temporary increase in pain in the day or days following Firefly therapy
